New Year, New Clients
Every year when the clock strikes midnight on January 1st, people all over the world make promises to themselves about they want to accomplish in the year ahead. More often than not, the resolution includes getting in shape, eating healthier and improving how others see them. Why not do that this year, but for your business?
In the wedding planning industry it can be easy to allow your brand to go stale since so much of our new business comes from referrals. This year, make it a point to review your brand and your marketing strategy. Take some time to look over your website, blog, social media landing pages, photo albums, rack cards, business cards, and any others materials you use to attract new business. Even just rotating new images on your company website can make a difference.
Take a look back at the clients you have worked for over the past year. Is there a wedding you loved? Maybe one you didn’t love so much? What was it about the one you enjoyed that really got your creative juices going? Think about the kind of client that couple was in regards to where they live, their social circle and how did they find out about your services. Knowing this may help you target a similar cliental and allow you to work with similar people who keep you energized and excited.
In looking at the year ahead, maybe you want to work on more consulting versus full out planning. If that’s the case, revise the services you offer and make a schedule that is going to work best for what you need this year. Don’t be afraid to consider yourself in the planning process as well. Make sure that you are happy and in turn, you will find clients who you want to make happy as well!
We are already one month into 2014. What are you going to do to refresh your business this month?
